I haven’t done this kind of embroidery since I was in Teachers’College in 1968! Yes Hardanger embroidery. I was spurred on by Christine Bishop to have a go and my goodness has my admiration for counted thread embroiderers been escalated! There is a reason that she says in her wonderful instructions: “do not cut at night” , well I did and cut the wrong threads. It took a bit to fix and luckily this was not meant for a gift.
